Maid Maiden, Monday

New work by Kaoru! By some twisted fate Alivia landed herself working as a 'tweeny' maid at the rich Bennett's house. She has to pretend to be his girlfriend at school while looking for her prince who had helped her years before. Only 4 chapters are in this volume so it's kinda hard to see how the characters feel about each other. Could Alivia be so deluded about her prince that she does not see the good in Bennett? Could Bennett be in love with another girl but is using Alivia to hide the fact? Could Shawn be Alivia's prince or is it someone else? So many questions unanswered! I can't wait for the next volume to be out!

Unexpected

Somehow, today was a great day. I had fun and rest. My grandparents came, they brought me food, we went out grocery shopping for more food and to the hotel for a buffet lunch, more food? XD It was relaxing and just something out of my ordinary routine. Dinner was good as well. It was a fellowship gathering of our weekly Sunday CG and as always it relaxes me even more. I feel so much better every time after CG when I have some problems, be it emotional or physical, to deal with. It was great, it was awesome! <3

Although I'm quite disappointed with the ending, Mineko was returned to the person she was before she met Helios and all their sweet and bitter memories in the Magic World was lost. Helios gave up his throne and disappeared. He ended up secretly protecting Mineko in the real world for years on end... I wonder if they would eventually end up together after all. The pain Helios is feeling right now must be great. I can't even imagine if the person I love would have to forget everything about me and all our memories together and I can't tell him that! It must be utterly painful! (And before anyone wonder when this is gonna come...) Helios in his real form looks so good! *swoons* Gyaah!

A Basketful of Fruits Or Maybe Zodiac Animals?

Finally I finished Fruits Basket! A story about a family who has members cursed with the soul of the 12 zodiac animals and the cat who was left out. A long time ago, God gave a banquet and invited all the animals to it. However, the rat told the cat the wrong day for the banquet and the cat arrived one day late and was left out of the banquet. The souls of the zodiac animals and God was reborn in the Sohma family, after they made a pledge to always be together and to have a banquet for all eternity, making it a curse. The zodiac met a girl named Honda Tohru and one by one, their pain disappeared in her kindness. Even the one born as God, Akito, was not immune to her. The curse was lifted in the end.

The main attraction if this manga is the UTTERLY HOT GUY CHARACTERS! Yuuki, Kureno, Shigeru, Haru and Kyo! *hearts* And of course cute little Momiji who is the Rabbit! *HEARTS* Not as funny as Marmalade Boy but still, very much entertaining at times. =)

Shutting Out The Real World

Okay, so I have been reading mangas everyday and not doing anything else. I'm that extreme even I am ashamed of myself... *nods* And because I have become such a nocturnal creature and a recluse, I'm even considering not meeting up with others like I planned to do before I go off. I'm terribly selfish I know but since everyone is busy...I'm sure they won't mind. XP That won't happen though no matter how selfish I want to be. *sighs*

Well, I went through a few mangas in this past week. First would be Immortal Rain. I started reading it in form 4 and it was not finished yet and so was left hanging like Hana Yori Dango. I am so disappointed that it still has not finished its run yet and is wondering what happened to volume 9. I guess it would be left like that for a very long time... Well, at least Rain is still alive although his heart was supposedly crushed in front of Machika and they got back together. I still remember the sentence Machika said in the ending of volume 4 and it seems so sad that time. Rain is SO innocent and cute... I remembered how much I was gushing over him last time. Hehe... ((If Nuri, Shaf and Mich read this, I know how their expressions are gonna look like... XD))

The second one I read would be Hikaru no Go. At least this series was finished although the ending is not much to my liking. Sai is so absolutely cute he reminds me of Gunter but in a way that he is obsessed about Go as Gunter is with Yuuri. XD I bought this manga during form 4 too till volume 4 but my parents confiscated it and I still did not get it back till now. But, the Internet is really a great place! :hearts: I wonder if anyone I know actually plays Go... It's quite a fun game to play.

Next, I went back to a series I love. MARS. Not the planet, but the God of War. I quite forgot the storyline because it's been such a long time but after I read it, I fell in love with Rei Kashino all over again! Hehe... It is truly a sickening and heartbreaking manga. In a world where darkness exists in everyone's heart, two people overcame their past and built a great future together. Absurdly wonderful and it doesn't hurt that Rei is a heartthrob. I was so into him last time that everyone from SBS science know who Rei is although they did not read the manga or even laid eyes on the cover before. ((And again, those 3 will be telling me : Oh, God. Not Rei. AGAIN!? My reply would be : And SO???))

And so, with those 3 from my past, I decide to read another old manga that I wanted to read since long ago. Marmalade Boy. To tell the truth, I was expecting a too romantic and girly manga but boy am I wrong. The first few pages got me laughing so hard I could not even stop for some time. Two married couples, each with their own son and daughter, decided to switch partners and get married and stay together in a big mansion. It was hilarious that the parents are so...weird? I'm not sure that is the word to describe them but they do lack common sense in a way. And I realised it's a really refreshing manga indeed. Sweet in every way. A very happy ending! I knew it would be something like this...

Aha... I really have turned into an extreme otaku... But university is starting soon. And I'm all nerves so this is the only way I can relax at home for now... It's gonna feel so weird. I'm homesick already... =( And I really do not want to dwell on that so, I'm only gonna have my anime and manga obsessions on my mine till then!

And last but not least : LEN! <3

Violin Romance

Gosh... Who'd knew that after reading the ongoing manga of La Corda I'm even more entranced by Tsukimori Len! It's the eyes! It's the eyes!!! He looks stern but his eyes say otherwise. Warm and gentle they are... Seems like all the guys like Kahoko now... Hihara, Tsuchiura, Yunoki, and now (OBVIOUSLY) Tsukimori! He'll be going abroad to study and from the end of the last chapter that I read, she's decided to cheer him on. I wonder what will happen to those two. Definitely hope she's gonna be with Len. They look so good together! Kyaa! I'll go listen to their duet of Ave Maria from the anime again... One good thing about the anime is that I can actually listen to the pieces they played although I think some are different from the manga. Now I'm going to start collecting different versions of the pieces I like. Ave Maira, Tristesse, Tzigane... Kyaa! Len... <3

Of Pain Caused Through Selfishness

Arrgh! The anticipation is killing me! Kaoru said that the volume after Septenary will be the end of Helios Eclipse but...I can't stand it! Why must there be a storyline where the main guy/girl character must be with the one they don't love in order to save their family/kingdom and leave the ones they love in despair? Helios is INDEED and IDIOT. I'm sure things will be even better if he rejects Countessa and puts his trust in Mineko. But NO, he has to do things his own way and mess things up, getting all jealous about Louis, ignoring everyone around him and hurting Mineko badly to make her want to leave and return from where she came. If he's still an idiot in the 8th, I'll be tearing the pages apart in frustration. Sigh... Why the ones you love must cause you the most pain...? Poor Mineko. I can’t even begin to understand how she must have felt. >.<

The End, But Do They Live Happily Ever After?

Wow. I guess I pulled another all-nighter just to finish those remaining 30 chapters... It was worth it though. Tsukasa realised that the new girl is not the one to patch up the hole he has when he lost his memory (Thank goodness...) and after a knock on the head from a baseball ball that Tsukushi threw at him, he regains his memories of her and starts to enjoy the 1 year freedom his mother gave them. But Tsukasa decided to go to NY after his graduation after all and proposes to Tsukushi. Too bad she decides to stay in Japan and wait those 4 years out for him. However, their bond is strong and nothing can overcome their love for each other! Such a happy ending it was. If my eyes are not so dry and stinging now from the lack of rest and sleep, I'll probably be crying. Anyway, this love story is definitely heart warming but I will definitely never gush over the main guy character... I mean, who can ever resist Hanazawa Rui!? Compared to Tsukasa, he is gentle and attentive, the one who always encourages Tsukushi and supported her through all the hard times. He really does love her, but as he said, seeing her smile is already enough for him. Such a sad ending for Rui! Sigh... I can't believe I finally finished this manga after 4 years from when I started reading it. It is a satisfaction in itself. Sitting on my bed in this dark room, I'm wondering should I take a short nap now or later in the afternoon. Oh well, lets see which wins out, my resolve or my laziness. I'm guessing it's a 50-50 chance though. =P

Heart Wrenching Sadness

10 CHAPTERS FULL OF IT! What am I gonna do!? Sigh... I reached the part where Tsukasa decides to give up everything to be with Tsukushi. But what happens? He was stabbed by an enemy of the Domyouji family and lost all his memory ON TSUKUSHI! Now, being a real impatient girl I skipped 10 chapters just to check if Tsukasa has regained his memory yet or I'll be reading even more unpleasant pages. He did. But it did not change the fact that there're 10 chapters in between! Oh, what am I gonna do... This will be painful to endure... Sigh... Gosh, I think he even fell for another girl in between... This is seriously MAD! T_T Why is the road of true love never smooth!? Arrgh... Away with it! I'm reading both chapters simultaneously... I wonder, if a guy loses his memory and fell for a girl during this period, what would happen when he regained his memories and remembered the girl he loved? How about the girl he just fell for? Wow... This is really dramatic... I hope it's not harsh on the new girl.
